Product Installation Instructions for Compatible Front Brake Pads

Compatibility:

Tools Required:

1. Socket Set - To remove the caliper bolts.
2. Torque Wrench - To ensure bolts are tightened to manufacturer specifications.
3. Pliers - For removing any retaining clips or pins.
4. Flathead Screwdriver - To help with the caliper piston retraction if needed.
5. C-clamp or Brake Piston Tool - To push the caliper piston back into the caliper to accommodate the new pads.
6. Brake Cleaner - For cleaning any debris or old brake pad dust from the caliper.
7. Lint-free Cloth - To wipe down surfaces and ensure cleanliness during installation.
8. Grease or Brake Lubricant - For lubricating contact points where applicable.
9. Safety Gloves - To protect your hands during the installation.

Installation Steps:

1. Preparation: Ensure motorcycle is on a stable surface and elevate with a motorcycle stand if necessary.
2. Remove the Wheel: Loosen and remove the front wheel according to the manufacturer's guidelines.
3. Remove the Brake Caliper: Use the socket set to loosen and remove the caliper bolts. Carefully detach the caliper from the mounting bracket.
4. Remove Old Brake Pads: Take out the old brake pads from the caliper. Note the position of any retaining clips or pins for reinstallation.
5. Clean the Caliper: Use the brake cleaner and a lint-free cloth to clean the caliper of any dirt and debris.
6. Prepare New Brake Pads: Apply brake lubricant to the areas where the new pads will contact the caliper and caliper bracket.
7. Install New Brake Pads: Place the new brake pads into the caliper, ensuring they fit snugly and correctly.
8. Reinstall the Caliper: Gently push the caliper back onto the rotor and secure it with the caliper bolts. Use torque wrench to tighten bolts to manufacturer specifications.
9. Push Back the Caliper Piston: Use a C-clamp or brake piston tool to compress the caliper piston back into the caliper if necessary.
10. Reinstall the Wheel: Carefully put the front wheel back on and tighten all bolts securely.
11. Test the Brakes: Before riding, pump the brake lever a few times to ensure that the pads are seated correctly and the brake lever feels firm.
