Tools Required:

1. Adjustable wrench or socket set

Installation Steps:

1. Preparation:

   • Ensure your motorcycle is on a stable, flat surface.
   • Allow the engine to cool if it has been running.

2. Drain the Old Oil:

   • Place the oil drain pan under the engine oil drain plug.
   • Remove the drain plug using an adjustable wrench or socket. Allow the oil to fully drain into the pan.

3. Remove the Old Oil Filter:

   • Use an oil filter wrench to loosen the old oil filter. If you don't have one, you can use your hands or an adjustable wrench.
   • Carefully remove the old filter. Be cautious as some oil may still be in the filter.

4. Prepare the New Oil Filter:

   • Before installing the new oil filter, apply a small amount of new engine oil to the rubber gasket on the new filter. This helps create a good seal and makes removal easier next time.

5. Install the New Oil Filter:

   • Screw the new oil filter onto the engine by hand. Be sure to tighten it snugly, but do not over-tighten.

6. Reinstall the Drain Plug:

   • Once the oil has fully drained, reinstall the drain plug and tighten it securely.

7. Add New Oil:

   • Remove the oil filler cap and use a funnel to pour the new engine oil into the engine. Refer to your motorcycle's manual for the correct amount and type of oil to use.

8. Check for Leaks:

   • Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes while checking for any oil leaks around the new oil filter and drain plug.
   • If everything looks good, turn off the engine and allow it to sit for a moment. Recheck the oil level using the dipstick and add more oil if necessary.

9. Cleanup:

   • Dispose of the old oil and oil filter responsibly. Many auto shops and recycling centers will accept used oil and filters.

10. Final Check:

• After a short ride, check the oil level again and inspect for any leaks to ensure everything is secure.
