Motorcycle Oil Filter Installation Guide

Required Tools:

  1. Socket wrench or ratchet and socket (3/8" or 1/2" drive)
  2. Oil filter wrench (specific to your motorcycle model)
  3. New oil filter (Motor City Oil Filter)
    4.Funnel
  4. Rag or paper towels
  5. Safety glasses and gloves (optional)

Step 1: Locate the Oil Filter

Identify the oil filter on your motorcycle. It is usually located on the top or side of the engine.

Step 2: Remove the Old Oil Filter

Use an oil filter wrench to loosen and remove the old oil filter. Be careful not to spill any oil when removing the filter.

Step 3: Install the New Oil Filter

Place the new Motor City Oil Filter on the engine and hand tighten it in a clockwise direction.

Step 4: Tighten the Oil Filter

Use an oil filter wrench to tighten the new oil filter an additional 1/2 to 3/4 of a turn.

Step 5: Check for Leaks

Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. Check for any signs of oil leaks around the oil filter.
