Installation Instructions for Polyurethane Front Engine Mount Dog Bone Bushing

Compatible with MK4 A3 and A4 (1986-2013)

Tools Required:

• Socket set (including 10mm, 13mm, and 19mm sockets)
• Ratchet wrench
  -Torque wrench
• Jack and jack stands
• Screwdriver set (flathead and Phillips)
  -Pliers
• Engine support bar (optional)

Installation Steps:

1. Preparation:

   • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat, stable surface.
   • Allow the engine to cool down completely.
   • Gather all required tools and the polyurethane bushing kit.

2. Lift the Vehicle:

   • Use a jack to lift the front of the vehicle.
   • Secure the vehicle with jack stands to prevent accidental movement.

3. Remove the Old Engine Mount:

   • Locate the engine mount (dog bone) under the vehicle.
   • Using the appropriate socket, remove the bolts that secure the old engine mount to the chassis and engine.
   • Gently pry the old mount out of its position.

4. Install the New Polyurethane Bushing:

   • Take the new polyurethane bushings and insert them into the engine mount’s housing.
   • Ensure that they are seated properly and aligned with the mount.

5. Reattach the Engine Mount:

   • Position the engine mount back into place.
