Installation Instructions for Compatible Motorcycle Oil

For 2006 - 2007 LTR 450 Quadracer and Quadracer Limited Edition

Tools Required:

• Socket wrench or ratchet set
• Oil drain pan
  -Funnel
• Shop towels or rags
• Oil filter wrench (optional, if changing the oil filter)
• Rubber gloves (optional, to keep your hands clean)

Installation Steps:

1. Prepare Your Workspace

   • Ensure you are in a well-ventilated area with enough space to work comfortably.
   • Gather all necessary tools listed above.

2. Warm Up the Engine

   • Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes to warm up the oil. This helps the oil drain out smoothly.

3. Turn Off the Engine

   • After warming, turn off the engine and allow it a few minutes to cool down slightly.

4. Drain the Old Oil

   • Place the oil drain pan under the engine’s oil pan.
   • Remove the drain plug using the socket wrench. Allow the old oil to completely drain into the pan.

5. Replace the Oil Filter (if necessary)

   • If you are changing the oil filter, use the oil filter wrench to remove the old filter.
   • Apply a small amount of new oil to the rubber gasket of the new oil filter before installing it. Screw the new filter in place.

6. Reinstall the Drain Plug

   • Once all the old oil has drained, replace and tighten the drain plug securely.

7. Add New Motorcycle Oil

   • Move the oil drain pan away and place the funnel in the oil filler cap opening.
   • Pour the motorcycle compatible oil into the engine using the funnel. Refer to your owner’s manual for the exact oil capacity.

8. Check Oil Level

   • After adding the oil, let it sit for a moment, then remove the dipstick to check the oil level. Add more oil if necessary.

9. Start the Engine

   • Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. This helps circulate the new oil.
   • Check for any leaks around the drain plug and oil filter.

10. Final Checks

    • After ensuring there are no leaks, turn off the engine and check the oil level one more time. Top up if needed.
