Installation Instructions for Motorcycle Oil Filter

Tools Required:

1. Oil filter wrench (optional, for easier removal)
2. Socket wrench or adjustable wrench
3. Oil catch pan
   4.Clean cloth or paper towels
4. Gloves (recommended for cleanliness)
5. New oil (if replacing old oil)
6. Funnel (for adding new oil)

Installation Steps:

1. Preparation:

   • Ensure that the motorcycle is parked on a stable, flat surface.
   • Let the engine cool down if it has been running.

2. Remove Old Oil Filter:

   • Position the oil catch pan under the engine to collect any spilled oil.
   • Use the oil filter wrench (if available) to loosen and remove the old oil filter.
   • Be cautious of any residual oil that may spill out.

3. Clean the Area:

   • Wipe the mounting surface on the engine with a clean cloth or paper towel to remove any debris or old oil.

4. Install New Oil Filter:

   • Apply a small amount of fresh oil to the rubber gasket of the new oil filter. This helps ensure a proper seal.
   • Screw the new oil filter onto the engine by hand until it is snug. Do not overtighten.

5. Add Fresh Oil:

   • If you are changing the oil as well, remove the oil fill cap on the engine.
   • Using a funnel, add the appropriate amount of new oil.
   • Replace the oil fill cap securely.

6. Check for Leaks:

   • Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
   • Check around the new oil filter for any signs of leaks.

7. Dispose of Old Oil and Filter:

   • Properly dispose of the old oil and oil filter as per local regulations.
