Motorcycle Oil Filter Installation Instructions

Tools Required:

1. Oil filter wrench (optional, but recommended for easier removal)
2. Ratchet and socket set (size may vary based on your motorcycle model)
3. Oil drain pan
   4.Clean cloth or paper towels
4. New motor oil (check specifications for your motorcycle)
5. Safety gloves (optional)
6. Safety goggles (optional)

Installation Steps:

1. Preparation:

   • Ensure the motorcycle is on a stable, flat surface and the engine is turned off and cool.
   • Put on safety gloves and goggles if desired.

2. Drain the Engine Oil:

   • Place the oil drain pan under the engine.
   • Remove the oil drain plug and allow the old oil to completely drain into the pan.

3. Remove the Old Oil Filter:

   • Locate the oil filter on your motorcycle. Use the oil filter wrench if necessary.
   • Unscrew the old oil filter in a counterclockwise direction. Be cautious as some old oil may still be present.

4. Prepare the New Oil Filter:

   • Take your new oil filter and apply a thin layer of new motor oil to the rubber O-ring on the filter. This helps ensure a proper seal and makes future removal easier.

5. Install the New Oil Filter:

   • Screw the new oil filter in place by hand, turning it clockwise until it is snug (do not overtighten).

6. Replace the Oil Drain Plug:

   • After the oil has fully drained, reinstall the oil drain plug and tighten it securely.

7. Add New Motor Oil:

   • Open the oil fill cap and pour in the recommended amount of new motor oil.
   • Replace the oil fill cap securely.

8. Start the Engine:

   • Start the motorcycle and let it run for a few minutes. This will circulate the new oil and help you check for any leaks.

9. Dispose of Old Oil and Filter:
