Drive Belt Installation Guide

Required Tools:

1. Socket wrench or ratchet and socket set
2. Torx screwdriver (for some models)
3. Pliers or punch (for securing belt)
4. Measuring tape or ruler
5. Safety glasses and gloves (recommended)

Pre-Installation Check:

1. Ensure the drive belt is compatible with your Polaris model (P 800, 850 RMK Assault, SKS PRO-RMK 155, 163 LE).
2. Inspect the drive belt for any damage or wear. If damaged, replace it with a new one.

Installation Steps:

1. Remove the Old Drive Belt:

• Loosen the tensioner bolt using a socket wrench or ratchet and socket.
• Remove the old drive belt from the pulleys.

2. Inspect and Clean the Pulleys:

• Inspect the pulleys for any debris or old belt residue.
• Clean the pulleys with a soft brush or cloth.

3. Install the New Drive Belt:

• Place the new drive belt on the pulleys, ensuring proper alignment.
• Secure the belt with the tensioner bolt.

4. Tighten the Tensioner Bolt:

• Use a socket wrench or ratchet and socket to tighten the tensioner bolt in a star pattern (tightening one bolt while loosening the other).
• Ensure the belt is properly seated and there's no slack.

5. Check the Belt Alignment:

• Measure the belt alignment to ensure it's properly centered on the pulleys.
• Adjust as needed.

Post-Installation Check:

1. Test the drive belt's performance by operating your Polaris vehicle.
2. Check for any signs of wear or damage on the drive belt and pulleys.
3. Lubricate the pulleys and belt as recommended by the manufacturer.
