Tools Required:

1. Oil filter wrench
2. Ratchet and socket set (size may vary by model)
3. Torque wrench

5. Funnel (for refilling oil)
6. New engine oil (check owner's manual for specifications)
7. Safety gloves
8. Safety goggles

Installation Steps:

1. Preparation:

   • Make sure the motorcycle is on a level surface and the engine is cool.
   • Lay down the oil catch pan under the oil filter to catch any dripping oil.

2. Remove Old Oil Filter:

   • Locate the oil filter on your motorcycle. Refer to the owner's manual if needed.
   • Use the oil filter wrench to loosen and remove the old oil filter. Be cautious as some oil may spill out.

3. Clean the Area:

   • Wipe the engine surface around the oil filter mount with a clean cloth to remove any debris or old oil.

4. Prepare New Oil Filter:

   • Before installing the new oil filter, apply a small amount of new engine oil to the rubber O-ring on the top of the filter. This helps ensure a proper seal.

5. Install New Oil Filter:

   • Screw the new oil filter onto the oil filter mount. Hand-tighten it first, then use the oil filter wrench to securely tighten it (do not over-tighten).

6. Refill Engine Oil:

   • Remove the oil filler cap and use a funnel to pour in new engine oil, following the specifications in your owner's manual.

7. Check Oil Level:

   • After refilling, wait a few minutes, then check the oil level using the dipstick. Add more oil if necessary.

8. Final Checks:

   • Start the engine and let it run for a minute. Check for any leaks around the oil filter.
   • Turn off the engine and recheck the oil level, adding more oil if needed.

9. Cleanup:

   • Dispose of the old oil filter and used oil properly according to local regulations.
   • Store your tools safely.
