Tools and Materials Needed:

     -Torque wrench
   • Ball joint separator or pickle fork
   • Pry bar (optional)
     -Screwdriver set
   • Hammer

2. Materials:

   • New ball joints (upper and lower)
   • Grease (for lubricating the new ball joints)
     -Clean rags
   • Thread-locking compound (optional but recommended)

Installation Steps:

1. Preparation:

   • Ensure the ATV is parked on a flat surface and secure it with wheel chocks.
   • Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to prevent any electrical issues.

2. Remove the Wheel:

   • Using the appropriate socket, loosen the lug nuts and remove the front wheel where you will be replacing the ball joints.

3. Access the Suspension Components:

   • Locate the suspension system to find the ball joints. Depending on your ATV model, you may need to remove additional components such as the caliper or brake rotor for better access.

4. Remove Old Ball Joints:

   • Use the ball joint separator or pickle fork to detach the old ball joints from the control arms. Be cautious to avoid damaging surrounding components.

5. Install New Ball Joints:

   • Apply grease to the new ball joints to ensure smooth operation.

6. Reassemble the Suspension:

   • Reattach any components that were removed (such as the caliper or brake rotor).
   • Reinstall the wheel and hand-tighten the lug nuts.

7. Final Torque:

   • Use a torque wrench to tighten the lug nuts to the manufacturer’s recommended specifications.

8. Reconnect Battery:

   • Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.

9. Test the ATV:

   • Before heading out, do a quick inspection of your work. Take the ATV for a short test drive to ensure everything functions properly.
