Installation Instructions for Motorcycle Oil Filter

Tools Required:

1. Wrench Set (suitable for the size of the oil filter)
   Needed to remove the old filter and install the new one securely.

2. Oil Catch Pan
   To collect any oil that may spill during the removal of the old filter.

3. Shop Towels or Rags
   Useful for cleaning up any spilled oil and ensuring a clean working area.

4. Oil Filter Wrench (optional)
   Helps to loosen a tight oil filter that may be difficult to remove by hand.

5. Gloves
   To protect your hands from dirt, grime, and engine oil.

6. Funnel
   Recommended for pouring new engine oil to avoid spills.

Installation Steps:

1. Prepare Your Motorcycle:
   Make sure the motorcycle is on a stable surface and the engine is cool.

2. Locate the Oil Filter:
   Identify the location of the oil filter on your motorcycle.

3. Place the Oil Catch Pan:
   Position the oil catch pan under the oil filter to collect any oil that may leak out.

4. Remove the Old Oil Filter:
   Use the wrench or oil filter wrench to loosen and remove the old filter carefully.

5. Clean the Area:
   Wipe off any oil residue from the mounting surface to ensure a good seal for the new filter.

6. Apply Oil to the New Filter Gasket:
   Before installation, put a thin layer of clean engine oil on the rubber gasket of the new filter.

7. Install the New Oil Filter:
   Screw the new filter onto the mounting area by hand until snug. Follow with a wrench for additional tightness, being careful not to overtighten.

8. Refill Engine Oil:
   Replace the oil drain plug if applicable and refill the engine with fresh oil using a funnel.

9. Start the Engine:
   Run the engine for a few minutes and check for any leaks around the oil filter.

10. Dispose of Old Oil and Filter Properly:
    Make sure to dispose of the old oil and oil filter according to local regulations.
