Product Installation Instructions for Compatible Motorcycle Oil Filters

Installation Tools Required:

1. Socket Wrench Set - To remove and install the oil filter.
2. Oil Filter Wrench - For easy removal of the old oil filter.
3. Oil Drain Pan - To catch the oil that drains out during the filter change.
4. Rag or Paper Towels - For cleaning and wiping surfaces.
5. Funnel - To help pour new oil into the engine.
6. Gloves - To keep your hands clean and protected from oil.
7. Safety Glasses - To protect your eyes during the installation process.
8. Replacement Oil - Ensure you have the appropriate oil for motorcycle your model.

Instructions:

1. Preparation:

   • Start with your motorcycle on a stable surface and ensure the engine is cool.
   • Gather all the required tools and replacement oil.

2. Drain the Oil:

   • Place the oil drain pan underneath the engine.
   • Remove the oil drain plug and allow the old oil to completely drain out into the pan.

3. Remove the Old Oil Filter:

   • Use the oil filter wrench to loosen and remove the old oil filter.
   • Make sure any residual oil in the filter drains into the pan.

4. Prepare the New Filter:

   • Before installing the new oil filter, apply a light coat of new oil to the rubber gasket on the top of the filter. This ensures a good seal.

5. Install the New Oil Filter:

   • Screw on the new oil filter by hand until it is snug. Avoid over-tightening.

6. Reinstall the Oil Drain Plug:

   • Once the old oil is drained and the new filter is in place, reinsert and tighten the oil drain plug.

7. Add New Oil:

   • Using the funnel, pour the recommended amount of new oil into the engine through the oil filler cap.

8. Check for Leaks:

   • Start the engine and let it run for a minute.
   • Check around the oil filter and drain plug for any signs of oil leaks.

9. Cleanup:

   • Dispose of the old oil and filter properly according to local regulations.
   • Clean up any spills with rags or paper towels.

10. Final Check:

    • After a short ride, recheck the oil level and confirm there are no leaks.
