Installation Instructions for Universal Fuel Pump for 260cc and 300cc ATVs and Quads

Tools Required:

1. Socket Wrench Set - For removing and securing bolts.
2. Screwdriver Set - Flathead and Phillips screwdrivers for various screws.
3. Pliers - For gripping and tightening hoses.
4. Fuel Line Disconnect Tool (if applicable) - To safely disconnect fuel lines without damage.
5. Shop Towels or Rags - To clean any spills and keep workspace tidy.
6. Safety Goggles - To protect your eyes during installation.
7. Gloves - To protect your hands from fuel and sharp edges.
8. Funnel - For safely pouring fuel if needed during the process.

Installation Steps:

1. Preparation: Ensure the ATV or quad is turned off and parked on a stable surface. Allow the engine to cool down completely.

2. Fuel Line Removal: Use the fuel line disconnect tool (if applicable) to safely disconnect the fuel lines connected to the existing fuel pump.

3. Remove Old Fuel Pump: Use the socket wrench to remove any bolts securing the old fuel pump in place. Carefully lift the old pump out.

4. Install New Fuel Pump: Place the universal fuel pump in the same position as the old pump. Secure it with the previously removed bolts using the socket wrench.

5. Reconnect Fuel Lines: Reattach the fuel lines to the new fuel pump, ensuring they are tightened with pliers for a secure fit.

6. Final Checks: Inspect all connections to make sure they are tight and there are no leaks.

7. Reattach Battery (if removed): If you disconnected the battery as a precaution, reconnect it before testing the new fuel pump.

8. Test the Pump: Turn on the ATV or quad and check the fuel pump operation. Make sure there are no leaks and the engine runs smoothly.

9. Cleanup: Wipe any spills and ensure that the work area is clean. Dispose of any old parts appropriately.
