Product Installation Instructions for Brake Pads Set Compatible with XT600 Models and T660

Compatibility:
This brake pads set is designed for XT600 models from 1990 to 1995 and XT600E from 1989 to 2003, as well as T660 models from 1991 to 1998.

Tools Required:

1. Socket wrench set
2. Torque wrench
3. Allen key set
4. Screwdriver (Flat and Phillips)
5. Pliers
6. Brake cleaner
   7.Clean rags or paper towels
7. Gloves (for safety)
8. A small container (for old brake pads and bolts)
9. A bungee cord or rope (to hold brake caliper)

Installation Steps:

1. Preparation:

   • Ensure the motorcycle is parked on a stable surface and secured with a stand.
   • Wear gloves to protect your hands.

2. Remove the Wheel:

   • Use the socket wrench to loosen and remove the wheel nuts.
   • Carefully remove the wheel from the motorcycle and place it aside.

3. Access the Brake Caliper:

   • Locate the brake caliper attached to the wheel hub.
   • Use the appropriate Allen key to remove the caliper mounting bolts.

4. Remove the Old Brake Pads:

   • Once the caliper is free, gently pull it away.
   • You may need to use a bungee cord to hold the caliper up to avoid stressing the brake line.
   • Remove the old brake pads from the caliper.

5. Clean the Brake Caliper:

   • Use brake cleaner and a clean rag to wipe away debris or old brake dust from the caliper.

6. Install the New Brake Pads:

   • Insert the new brake pads into position within the caliper.
   • Ensure they are seated properly.

7. Reattach the Brake Caliper:

   • Carefully place the caliper back onto the rotor.
   • Reinstall the caliper mounting bolts and tighten them securely with a torque wrench to the manufacturer’s specifications.

8. Reinstall the Wheel:

   • Place the wheel back onto the hub.
   • Tighten the wheel nuts with a socket wrench.

9. Final Check:

   • Wiggle the brake lever to ensure that the pads are positioned correctly and to check the brake function.
   • Make sure everything is tight and secure before taking the motorcycle for a test ride.

10. Dispose of Old Pads:

• Place the old brake pads and any debris in a container for proper disposal.
