Required Tools:

1. Socket Wrench Set: For removing bolts and screws.
2. Screwdriver Set: Both flathead and Phillips for various screws.
3. Pliers: For handling hoses and wiring connections.
4. Fuel Line Pliers: Specifically for easy disconnection of fuel lines.
5. Torque Wrench: To ensure proper torque when fastening bolts.
6. Container: To catch any spilled fuel during installation.
7. Safety Glasses: To protect your eyes during the installation process.
8. Gloves: To keep your hands safe and clean.

Installation Steps:

1. Preparation:

   • Ensure the motorcycle is parked on a flat surface and the engine is cool.
   • Disconnect the battery to prevent any electrical hazards.

2. Remove Existing Fuel Pump:

   • Using the socket wrench, remove the bolts securing the old fuel pump.
   • Carefully disconnect the fuel lines, using fuel line pliers to avoid damage.
   • Remove any electrical connectors attached to the fuel pump.

3. Install New Fuel Pump:

   • Position the new fuel pump in place and connect any electrical connectors.
   • Reattach the fuel lines securely, ensuring there are no leaks.
   • Secure the fuel pump with the original bolts, using a torque wrench to ensure proper tightness.

4. Reconnect Battery:

   • Once everything is reattached, reconnect the battery.

5. Test the Installation:

   • Turn on the ignition (without starting the engine) to prime the fuel system and check for leaks.
   • Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes, checking for any irregular sounds or leaks.

6. Final Check:

   • Make sure all connections and fittings are secure and there are no leaks before taking the scooter for a test ride.
